Kendriya Vidyalaya Adra stared 1988. The Vidyalaya got its new building in 1998. The Vidyalaya has Classes from I to XII. It is a two section School.
Students come from RAILWAY, CISF, Bank, other Govt offices ( both Central & State ), private sector employees etc

It is 1.5 Kms from the Adra Railway Station. The Vidyalaya is well connected by Road and Rail. The nearest airport is Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport , also known as Durgapur Airport.
